This study analyzes the flexural strength of composite materials made from fiberglass and natural Hibiscus Cannabinus (kenaf) fibers as an alternative material for the vertical stabilizer skin of the Grob G 120 TP aircraft. The specimens were fabricated using two manufacturing methods: Hand Lay-Up and Vacuum Assisted Resin Infusion (VARI), with compositions of 100% fiberglass and a 50:50 fiberglass–kenaf hybrid. These were compared with the original carbon fiber skin material. The bending test followed ASTM D790 standards. The results showed that the original carbon fiber material had the highest flexural strength of 607 MPa, followed by fiberglass Hand Lay-Up at 559 MPa, fiberglass VARI at 368 MPa, fiberglass–kenaf VARI at 352 MPa, and fiberglass–kenaf Hand Lay-Up at 218 MPa. Therefore, the tested composites cannot yet replace carbon fiber, as their flexural strength remains lower.
