Analisis Efektifitas Type Drone Tempur Menggunakan Metode Topsis Technique For Order Preference By Similarity To Ideal Solutions (Mengenang Perang 12 Hari Iran-Israel 13-24 Juni 2025)

Abstract

The Iran–Israel war, which took place from June 13 to 24, 2025, became one of the major conflicts in the Middle East, triggered by a sudden Israeli attack on Iran's military and nuclear facilities. Rapid escalation occurred as both sides relied on advanced technology, particularly drones, which evolved from merely supporting weapons to being a central component of modern military strategy. Although the conflict ended with a ceasefire, it highlighted a significant shift in the global airpower system. The effectiveness of drones in the war was greatly influenced by the combination of technical capability and cost. Iran utilized inexpensive kamikaze drones with long range and high destructive power for repeated attacks, while Israel operated high-tech drones with precision sensors for targeted missions. This strategic contrast demonstrates that cheap drones excel in attack intensity, whereas advanced drones dominate in accuracy and strategic missions. To objectively measure the effectiveness of each drone, the TOPSIS method can be used by comparing alternatives based on range, payload capacity, accuracy, mission success, operational costs, and vulnerability to anti-drone systems. Through normalization, weighting, and calculation of proximity to the ideal solution, TOPSIS produces an accurate effectiveness ranking. This approach underscores the balance between cost efficiency and technological superiority in the use of drones in the Iran–Israel war of 2025.
